After retiring from a 24-year career with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Matt Gurwell founded Keeping Us Safe, a national organization with a mission to keeping senior drivers safe, while also maintaining their dignity and independence.

Many family caregivers eventually realize that their aging loved ones are no longer fit to drive. Your loved one may not notice that their driving skills are deteriorating or may not want to admit it. My Mom...the Fashionista!

My mom always dressed fashionably. Everyone admired how glamorous she was, but I couldnt believe it when Artis partnered with Macys to throw a community fashion show—with residents as the runway models! There was my mom, dressed in the latest styles, rolling down the red carpet. But the best thing she wore: a beaming smile. I could tell how proud and beautiful she felt about herself—and that meant the world to me. Artis gave that back to her. I’ve got a new set of photos to treasure!
